It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

~ Alan Cohen

A wedding can be a magical event, perhaps the only time we can live the dream of our childhood stories of the romantic prince and princess.

A wedding can be a deeply emotional journey that sets the foundations for a rewarding and satisfying partnership.

A wedding can be a joyous declaration of love and togetherness, witnessed by those nearest and dearest.

A wedding can be a weaving together of two lives, two families , two histories, two cultures...

A wedding can be all of these and so very much more....

Why are Tamara's weddings special?

I can clearly remember my own beautiful wedding and I treasure that memory. It was a magical day, very personal and a true reflection of our relationship. Thus I understand the importance of your wedding day - and I work hard to make sure that the ceremony we create is just what you want. I am keenly aware that, though I have a great deal of wedding experience, you don't (even if you have been married more than once)

I spend time with you, getting to know about your relationship and dreams for your wedding day. I use the information you give me and my intuition along with my creativity and experience to make suggestions, compose the ceremony and solve any issues we come across.

My goals are:

  • to deliver the ceremony you have dreamed of
  • for you to feel secure because you know what will happen during the ceremony and
  • that you are able to relax and really enjoy it

How many weddings does Tamara do?

I will only undertake 2 weddings on any one day, with a minimum of 4 hours between them. This ensures that you have my full attention and I can accommodate any mishaps such as late brides or waiting for lost guests.

As of July 2013 I have conducted nearly 400 weddings. Most of those have been outdoors and involved hand-fastings or other romantic symbolism.

What does my fee include?

in short - everything except travel outside the metro area.

For full details see my fee schedule

When you pay your deposit you are given a password for my client access pages which give you heaps of infomation, links and ideas on everything from romantic nature venues in Perth and WA, ceremony examples, readings & poetry, medieval supplies (local and international), the history of the traditions we can draw from, favour ideas and much more...

How much do I charge?

My fee is set at $550. This is about mid range, and it is also about the same as 5 excellent massages or 5 big nights out with the mates...

As a comparison the Perth Registry Office charges $305 for weddings between 9.30 and 4 Mon - Fri using a standard ceremony. The difference in price allows for weekends, personalising of your ceremony and travel.

I am confident I offer excellent value for money and this has been confirmmed by clients (please see my testamonials).

If you are on a strict budget and you really, really want my services, I suggest you sacrifice spending on some other aspect of your ceremony or discuss a barter arrangement with me. If this is not possible, I suggest you explore other celebrants or the Registry Office.

Why does Tamara insist on meeting couples before taking a booking?

The right choice of celebrant can make or break your wedding. You must be comfortable with your celebrant and be confident that they will deliver the ceremony you have dreamed of. The only way to do this is to meet and spend some time getting to know each other. If I am the one for you, you will know and if I am not your style then I encourage you to keep looking until you find your match. You wouldn't want to wear the 'wrong' dress or use the 'wrong' rings... your celebrant is even more important and it is well worth looking around to find the right one for you.
