A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

~ Albert Einstein

Other Rites

...including - family bonding, divorce and hand parting

I have designed and conducted several of these unique ceremonies. They are wonderful opportunities to express how you are feeling about a significant transition in your life.

Such a ceremony allows you to express yourself in ways that could be out of place, awkward or embarrassing in other contexts. It also brings gravity to this change and can be a water shed - the moment that marks the official start or the moment of closure.

Please contact me to discuss your particular situation and ceremony requirements or ideas....

If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.
~ Mitsugi Saotome
.

Hear me, four quarters of the world - a relative I am! Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is! Give me the eyes to see and the strength to understand, that I may be like you. With your power only can I face the winds.
~ Black Elk (1863-1950) Oglala Sioux holy man
