Renewal of Vows
Many people feel inspired to celebrate their relationship more than once. The first time may have been a legal union, or not, but now after a few years there is a desire to re-live that special day or re-commit to each other.
Perhaps as a couple you have triumphed over a significant challenge, something that could have led to a breakdown in your relationship but instead it has brought you closer together...
Perhaps you have a gathering of family or friends that was not possible at your first union and you would like to share something of that first union with them...
Perhaps you couldn't afford to have the wedding of your dreams the first time but now you can...
Perhaps you are simply overwhelmed with love and gratitude for each other and your wonderful life!
Whatever the reason, a Relationship Blessing or Renewal of Vows is a very romantic ritual. We can use your original vows, create completely new ones or do a bit of both.
Our home is our sanctuary; the place we feel safest and most ourselves. It is filled with our memories and dreams. Moving to a new home is such an exciting experience. Often it feels like a new chapter in our lives. And herein lies the opportunity to hold a House Warming - the inference is that once our house is "warmed" by our family and friends it becomes our home.
Many culture have traditions for warming a house. We can draw on these traditions or create something new and meaningful to you.
Blessing of a Workplace or Job
Starting a new job or business can be as exciting as a new home. Gathering some friends and family around and having the opportunity to express your thanks for support and opportunities given. You can also set some goals or share your vision of the future and then ask for everyone's support and blessings.
Blessing of anything you can think of really!!
Taking the time to acknowledge your hopes and dreams for anything that is important to you is appropriate, indeed in this time of go go go it is desirable. Pausing to ask for blessing from friends, family and all you hold sacred can be a moving experience and one that brings only good your way.
