A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

~ Albert Einstein

There are special times and events in our lives that are important and worth acknowledging. At these times it very human to feel the desire to share something special or mark the occasion with something that acknowledges the importance of what is happening. A ceremony is what we call our response to that desire.

Questions and Answers:

What does a ceremony offer you?

Ceremony provides us with a framework that allows to step outside of regular human interactions. It creates a safe place whare we can express things that we would normally find difficult or even embarrasing.

A ceremony is a pause in the busyness of our day to day lives where we can honour our life experiences; especially our transitions eg from single to couple aka weddings, from child to adult aka rites of passage, from life to death aka funerals.

In the space and time of a ceremony we can celebrate a milestone, bring closure or release, seek healing, give blessing and thanks, find peace, joy and connect with whatever we connect to as sacred.

A ceremony that is rich and deep and powerful creates an indelible memory to cherish. It is a beautiful and often transformational experience for all present. It can build bridges and draw the bonds of community closer. The community of your immediate family or your extended family and friends, your workplace or your group.
