Ceremonies - fee schedule

To secure my services for the date and time of your planned wedding, I require a 50% deposit when we complete your Notice of Intention of Marriage.The balance of payment is due at, or before the rehearsal.

For other ceremonies, a deposit paid as close to our agreement as possible and full payment prior to the ceremony.

These requirements ensure we are both firmly committed to your booking and we can then get on with creating your ceremony. Then on the day we are not distracted by payment and can focus on the experience of your ceremony.

The following are included in my fee:

Legal requirements

I will

  • use my knowledge of the Marriage Act and all requirements to ensure the marriage is legal in Australia
  • complete & Lodge the Notice of Intention to Marry
  • complete of Marriage Certificate
  • complete & Lodge the Marriage Registration

Ceremony composition 

I will

  • provide examples of wedding components so you can select what appeals to you and suits your wedding style
  • write original passages, as needed.
  • research specific material, eg poetry or quotes to enhance the ceremony
  • compose the ceremony so that it flows smoothly and each component links together
  • give you advice on flow and staging of the ceremony
  • point out any potential issues or challenges your ceremony choices or venue could pose and
  • draft and re-edit the ceremony until you are completely happy with it

Marriage Information

I will provide you with information regarding marriage in Australia including:

  • marriage and relationship education and support services
  • Civil Celebrant Code of Practice from the Attorney General's Office
  • documents that we talk about at our meeting including my wedding ceremony summary table and examples of blessings and symbolic acts
  • the brochure ‘Happily Ever Before and After’ as required by the Attorney General's Office


  • Travel within 30km of my home; to and from your ceremony and rehearsal



I will

  • conduct a relaxed walk thorough on site
  • give advice about the staging/choreography of the ceremony for maximum visual effect
  • show you how to make the most of your venue to enhance the ceremony and be comfortable for your guests
  • show you some ways of doing things that will be graceful, easy and assist your photographer gets the best shots
  • coach anyone who is giving a reading (if appropriate)

Services on the day

I will

  • dress in harmony with your theme or style eg formal, colour preference etc
  • arrive about 1/2 hour prior to the agreed ceremony start time
  • supply an elegant gold pen for the signing
  • leave you with a clear envelope which will contain your presentation marriage certificate.
  • guarantee that I will not deviate from the ceremony you decide on - unless there is some unforeseen occurrence that requires me to refocus guests eg some kind of disturbance that draws peoples attention away from the ceremony

  • Travel within the larger Perth metro area that is more than 30km from my home has an additional fee - we can negotiate.
  • Travel outside the larger Perth area can be negotiated. I am happy to travel with others attending the ceremony, or you can pay for my transport by bus / train or my petrol + a negotiated fee depending on distance and time I will be away. Remember that if I travel over a weekend, I am not able to conduct other ceremonies in that time.
  • If the time of your ceremony means that I have to stay overnight, then you supply me with appropriate accommodation. I don't smoke and I am happy to stay with family or friends or at a local motel or B&B.
  • The lodgement of the Application for a Registered Marriage Certificate requires a fee payable to the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages. You can pay by credit card, cheque, money order or cash. Take along photo ID and your Wedding Certificate (the one we sign on the day).
